Depending who you ask, La Perle is either one of the coolest hipster dives in Paris or an over-hyped has been. Irregardless, every night I’ve passed it there has been a crowd of stylish, beautiful people spilling into the street.

Cheap and no-frills, this retro bar has garish neon lighting and 1€ “tapas” plates that do the trick when you need a little something to soak up the alcohol. Don’t expect to find seating late, but if you go before dinner you can usually grab a booth or table.
