While the selection was small, the Italian wine we ordered was only 15€ and extremely tasty, and the meat was exceptionally generous for the price. They only charged 4€, and it was twice the size and quality of others I’ve been served costing more than 10€. So, even though it doesn’t technically count as a bar for the GPD, I highly recommend this fine establishment. I was actually kind of disappointed that I had to leave for my dinner reservation, as I wanted to check out their menu. The inside was promising, and I would certainly go back for groceries as well.

We were quickly served a large carafe of cold water. For those of you that don’t appreciate this fact, it’s a minor miracle. There were only two people working, and I pegged the waitress to be the daughter of the chef. They were both incredibly nice.

The inside was full of charmingly garish neon signs befitting a neighborhood pizza joint/bar/café. While this is not an establishment I would cross town for, if in the neighborhood, I certainly would come back for another drink. And cashews!

I liked Le Corail so much that I took the time to translate what Corail means in English. Per Google, the answer is “corral,” what is a bit perplexing because I don’t recall any of the décor striking me as corral-esque.
